TOTEM 1
The first drawing is a copy of a photo of a real totem in a Native American house ,Haida tribe, taken from a very important and famous history book ” The Story of Art” of E.H.Gombrich.
Is telling a story, a legend about a young men who lay down all the day doing nothing, reproached by his mother in law. Then he feel ashamed and he killed a dangerous monster who lived in a lake with a trick and with the help of a magic bird.
In the totem all the characters are represented.
I like the way how the characters are made and how they fit in the pylon and I use the brown paper to give the idea of the wood , the material of the model.

The second drawing is inspired by tree shape which I saw around. I put two together.
