From my travel notes.

We arrived in Gijón, Asturias, just one year ago and we loved the city. Everything is alive, the town is nice, mostly with modernist architecture and with amazing beaches ( see Gijón post). Carnival is Holiday and there is a parade in town.

“Antroxu” is the Asturian name of Carnival and there is the same in Aviles. See
